Manish graduated with distinction from the Institute of Environmental Design, Gujarat in 1991. Thereafter, he worked at The Osho Commune International in Pune, for two years, contributing immensely to the Commune’s varied ongoing projects. Here, he imbibed a new spiritual approach to spatial design, as a means of connecting man with himself and his environment. Having identified the true meaning and purpose of Architecture, he established TAO Architecture Pvt. Ltd. in 1994. An Associate Member of the Council of Architecture & Indian Institute of Architects, he has gained immense recognition and appreciation for his contribution to sustainable design.
What do you feel is the greatest challenge when it comes to designing for environmental sustainability?
Awareness and education about sensitive aspects of the environment we live and breathe with every moment.
What is your ultimate goal when it comes to your work?
Stepping towards the search as a journey to contribute betterment of our living environment.
What do you want to be remembered for?
That I lived as a guest on this globe with due respect and love for the guest house.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
That I am on my journey to meet the highest level of in-built potential I am born with.
The project you will never forget?
The greatest project I have is to thrive to grow as an Architect through love and passion for architecture and environmental design
Which message do you want to give to upcoming Architects?
Architecture is a responsible professional practice towards, not only to our society but to our total environmental world around, to sustain for generations to come.
